Barrelhouse Flat Cocktail Chicago Lincoln Park

We won't detail exactly how often we get out to try these Chicago craft cocktail bars, but we do it enough to give you a rundown. Here are a few of our favorites.

Chicago Public Transit Entrance

Our guests always ask us how to get around in Chicago. Our answer is that it's actually really easy, but we understand that the public transit system can be intimidating for newbies, especially those from small towns with no public transportation, or without trains and cabs.

Cloudgate The Bean

Downtown Chicago isn’t so much a neighborhood, but the place where we gather to celebrate, to unwind, to work, and to simply stand in awe of this remarkable city.

There is no shortage of sights, of shopping, or food here. But a word to the wise - you won’t get it all in in one day, or even one visit. If you have one day, pick your top two or three destinations to hit, leaving a little room for serendipity.

Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood is squeezed between the edges of Lincoln Park, Goose Island, and the Gold Coast, about a mile north of The Loop.

This cozy neighborhood of tree-lined streets and old victorian-era buildings oozes an old Chicago feel, from it’s well-heeled restaurants and taverns to its thriving theatre and performance scene. This affluent, historic neighborhood is notably home to one of only seven churches that survived the Great Chicago Fire, St. Michael’s Church.

John Hancock Tower, Gold Coast Chicago

If you’re looking for upscale shopping in Chicago, the Gold Coast is where you want to be, where you'll find some of the most iconic images of Chicago.

Grab a drink at the Signature Room on the 99th floor of the Hancock building and take in what many consider to be the greatest view in Chicago. Check out the shops in the 8-story Water Tower Place shopping center, or stroll down Oak Street’s exclusive shopping district with stores recognized throughout the world. It’s an experience reserved only for a great American city.

Wrigley Field Chicago

The perfect neighborhood for the sports fan, Wrigleyville is home to the iconic Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, and streets full of great sports bars, streetside cafes, and fun!

Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk

Lincoln Park might be the best combination of cozy neighborhood feel and big city attractions in all of Chicago. Find out why this is one of the most sought-after vacation destinations in Chicago, and check out some of our reccomendations for bars, restaurants, and attractions.

Wicker Park Chicago Myopic Books

Our Wicker Park vacation rentals put you in the middle of Chicago’s answer to Brooklyn.

Located Northwest of downtown, Wicker Park is the creative center of the city, Chicago’s trend-setting neighborhood and home to artists, musicians, and writers. More recently, it has also become home to some of the city’s best chefs.

It’s hard not to feel the energy of the swarms of people shopping, rocking, biking and partying at this intersection of evolving Chicago. Open one door and you’ll find an eclectic boutique clothing store, while the next will bring a vintage resale shop. Find a book store, vinyl shop, Michellin-starred restaurant, or neighborhood coffee shop. Do it all just a short train or cab ride from downtown!
