We just wanted to let you all know that we were so happy with our stay this past long weekend at 55 Cedar (Garden Unit).
The location couldn’t have been more perfect – We did the beach walk everyday, shopped / dined at restaurants within a block, walked 5 minutes to the Grocery Store, and walked a different 5 minutes to shop the Magnificent Mile. During our 4-day stay, we only used a taxi once – and that was to get to a festival in the suburbs.
The apartment was lovely and comfortable with all the right amenities. We had everything we needed and more (would only recommend that a sponge/dishrag and dishtowel be in the kitchen). Loved having the washer/dryer just down the hall and being able to go out the back door to discard trash. All of the arrangements were efficiently made, and we didn’t have a single problem (other than our own stupidity figuring out there was an unlock key that had to be pressed for the front door to open - J). Oh, and when we initially couldn’t get the cable TV figured out, we called the phone number provided. A real human answered (I believe it was Liz) and was very nice and immediately took care of our situation by getting in touch with Michelle (who happened to be in the building). Michelle was very nice and came into the apartment to get the TV going for us. It all felt very friendly and we really appreciated the personal touch.
We are so thrilled to know that this accommodation exists and have already decided that when we return to Chicago, we are going to try to get the exact same apartment.
